Testruth asks for volunteers: Public Safety Board needs help
Southport Mayor Jesse Testruth announced open positions on the Board of Public Safety (BPS) at the May 21st Council meeting and asked that citizen volunteers connect with him through eMail to MayorTestruth@CityofSouthport.org if interested in serving. Southport Mayor, Jesse Testruth confirmed at Monday nights Council meeting that “Wild Bill” Bick has resigned from his appointed position as Southport’s Assistant Chief of Police. Testruth announced that IMPD officer, Curtis Johnson would be serving as Deputy Chief “until this big mess gets straightened out”.
